Introducing the hardworking Friends of Oakhill
Oakhill Nature Reserve is wonderfully maintained by the Friends of Oakhill and our partners the East Riding of Yorkshire Council and Siemens. We undertake fundraising, habitat management and survey work and lead free guided walks and educational events.
VOLUNTEERING
Volunteering with the Friends of Oakhill is a rewarding way to support local wildlife and connect with your community in Goole. The group works to care for and enhance the reserve, helping to protect its diverse habitats for birds, insects and native plants. Whether you’re interested in conversation tasks, wildlife monitoring, or helping at community events, there are opportunities for all ages and experiences levels. By volunteering, you’ll learn new skills, enjoy the outdoors and play and active role in preserving this valuable green space for future generations.
